About the Opportunity
We are seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join a dynamic manufacturing facility in Scarborough. In this role, you will partner with leadership to ensure smooth HR operations while fostering a safe, engaging, and inclusive workplace for approximately 250 employees. You’ll be involved in full-cycle HR responsibilities, from payroll administration and onboarding to employee relations and performance management.

Your Responsibilities
- You’ll administer payroll, review timecards, and ensure compliance with provincial regulations using ADP Workforce Now.
- In this role, you’ll lead onboarding, orientation, and benefits administration for new hires, maintaining accurate employee records and filing systems.
- You’ll support recruitment and full-cycle hiring, collaborating with managers and external partners to attract high-caliber talent.
- You’ll provide guidance to employees and supervisors on HR policies, employee relations, and conflict resolution, fostering a positive work environment.
- In this position, you’ll coordinate safety training, monitor compliance, and assist with incident reporting in partnership with leadership.
- You’ll support internal initiatives such as social committees, internal communications, and employee engagement activities.
Skills and Qualifications
- 3-5+ years of HR experience in manufacturing, logistics, or similar environments, ideally in a generalist or business partner role.
- Strong knowledge of Canadian labor laws, HR best practices, and compliance requirements.
- Experience with payroll systems, preferably ADP Workforce Now, and HRIS platforms.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities, take initiative, and work independently.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
- Bilingual French is a strong asset; CHRP designation not required.
