Job Description

Location: Toronto, ON, Hybrid, 4 days on-site
Contract length: 6 months to start - potential to extend up to 3 years 
Language: Strong written and verbal communication skills in English required

About the Opportunity
Our client, a large-scale retail organization, is investing in modernizing its in-store technology to deliver seamless and personalized customer experiences. As a POS (GK Software) Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring point-of-sale systems are optimized, integrated, and aligned with evolving business needs.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams across IT, operations, and customer experience, acting as a trusted subject matter expert. Your Responsibilities
• You’ll lead configuration efforts for GK Software solutions, ensuring alignment with business and operational requirements
• You’ll collaborate with internal teams to integrate POS systems with platforms such as SAP and other enterprise tools
• You’ll monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with vendors to resolve incidents efficiently
• You’ll support system upgrades, patches, and ongoing enhancements to maintain reliability and performance
• You’ll act as a subject matter expert, guiding stakeholders on best practices and system capabilities
• You’ll analyze system data and contribute to reporting that informs business decisions and performance tracking

Skills and Qualifications
• 3+ years of experience working with GK Software solutions, including implementation and configuration, or any other major POS brands 
• Experience supporting retail operations or POS environments
• Familiarity with enterprise systems such as SAP, Blue Yonder, or Manhattan Associates
• Strong understanding of system integration, testing, and troubleshooting
• Proficiency in SQL and data analysis tools
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and data governance practices
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams
