About the Opportunity

As a QA Automation Lead, you will lead governance, planning, execution, and continuous improvement initiatives that shape quality standards across multiple projects and teams.

This role offers the opportunity to influence enterprise-wide automation strategy while mentoring internal and vendor resources. You will collaborate with IT partners, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure testing practices are efficient, scalable, and aligned with organizational goals.

Your Responsibilities

  • You’ll lead governance activities, including reporting on automation metrics, managing dashboards, conducting audits, and ensuring adherence to PMO and TCoE standards.
  • In this role, you’ll drive end-to-end test planning and execution across all SDLC phases, overseeing strategy, risk assessment, environments, defect management, and stakeholder communication.
  • You’ll manage automation specialists and third-party vendors, ensuring scripts align with the framework and mentoring teams on best practices and tool usage.
  • You’ll oversee tool selection, configuration, and maintenance, ensuring testing does not impact production and aligns with established policies.
  • You’ll champion continuous improvement by implementing and evolving the IT automation testing framework and promoting sustainable, efficient testing practices.

 

Skills and Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience leading automation testing teams on large-scale projects within agile and waterfall environments
  • Demonstrated experience developing automation roadmaps, frameworks, standards, and best practices
  • Expertise in preparing test data, executing test cases and providing daily execution reports to project team
  • Hands-on expertise with Java and JVM architecture
  • Direct experience with mobile and UI test automation tools such as UFT, Selenium, Appium
  • Strong understanding of Domain Driven Design, Test Driven Development, CI/CD, and web services testing including HTTP and HTML
  • Technical Experience in using defect tracking tools such as HP ALM
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field, combined with strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
