Job Description

Location: Toronto, ON, On-site, Monday to Friday
Language: English required, written and spoken
Background Check Requirement: Ability to work on active construction sites

About the Opportunity

This is an opportunity to join a growing construction organization that takes safety seriously and values people who show up, follow through, and support their teams. In this role, you’ll play a key part in keeping health and safety documentation accurate, compliant, and up to date across multiple active job sites.

Working closely with operations leadership, foremen, and field staff, you’ll be the central point of coordination for health and safety administration. Your work will directly support safe project delivery across commercial and institutional construction environments, including hospitals, schools, and large-scale builds. If you’re someone who enjoys structure, collaboration, and making sure nothing falls through the cracks, this role offers meaningful impact and room to grow.

What’s in it for You

You’ll join a team that values accountability, teamwork, and practical problem-solving. This is a role where your voice matters and where you’ll gain exposure to a growing organization in the construction sector.

You’ll also benefit from mentorship, hands-on learning, and the chance to expand your health and safety knowledge as the company continues to grow across Ontario and Atlantic Canada.

Your Responsibilities

  • You’ll maintain, track, and organize all health and safety documentation to ensure compliance with internal policies and industry regulations.
  • You’ll monitor certifications and training records, proactively coordinating renewals and follow-ups with field staff.
  • You’ll support onboarding by preparing and distributing safety documentation for new hires and subcontractors.
  • You’ll act as secretariat support for Health and Safety Committee meetings, including agendas, minutes, and action tracking.
  • You’ll assist with incident reporting, WSIB documentation, audits, and safety reporting.
  • You’ll support the development and updating of health and safety policies, communications, and procedures.

Skills and Qualifications

  • 5-7+ years of hands-on experience in Health & Safety, ideally in the construction industry, including experience managing certifications, compliance, and safety documentation.
  • Experience managing documentation, certifications, and compliance tracking.
  • Familiarity with WSIB processes and WHMIS is required.
  • Strong organizational skills and persistence when following up with multiple stakeholders.
  • A collaborative, confident communicator who is comfortable supporting both office and field teams.

Note from the Hiring Manager

“We’re looking for someone who’s dependable, confident, and genuinely interested in learning the business. This role is all about supporting our teams and keeping safety documentation running smoothly.”
