About the Opportunity

Our client, a growing and well-established organization in the aggregate and heavy industrial sector, is seeking a hands-on Site Manager to lead one of its most active and dynamic locations near London. This is a newly created leadership role designed to bring focus, structure, and operational excellence to a high-volume pit and wash plant operation.

You will work closely with the Owner and Operations Manager while leading a team of equipment operators on site. The environment is fast paced and ever-changing, with a strong emphasis on safety, efficiency, and teamwork. If you enjoy being outdoors, solving operational challenges in real time, and leading from the front, this is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

What’s in it for You

Join a stable, growing organization that has expanded significantly over the past decade. You will step into a visible leadership role where your ideas and initiative are valued.

This opportunity offers competitive compensation up to $80,000K, employer-paid health and dental benefits after three months, DPSP, paid time off including a Christmas shutdown, and a monthly vehicle allowance. It is a workplace that values practical leadership, accountability, and adaptability.

Your Responsibilities

  • You’ll lead daily site operations, including pre-shift safety talks and coordinating production at the pit and wash plant.
  • You’ll oversee a team of approximately five employees, providing direction, coaching, and performance support.
  • You’ll monitor production targets, material flow, equipment utilization, and site efficiency in a high-traffic environment.
  • You’ll champion safety compliance, conduct inspections, and ensure adherence to OH&S and environmental standards.
  • You’ll manage reporting, production data, cost tracking, and weekly updates with head office.

Skills and Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in aggregate, quarry, mining, or heavy industrial operations
  • 1 to 2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience in a production environment
  • Strong knowledge of heavy equipment and wash plant or mobile equipment operations
  • Solid mechanical aptitude and an understanding of preventative maintenance practices
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying conditions
  • Strong organizational skills and basic computer literacy for reporting

Note from the Hiring Manager

“We’re looking for someone practical and steady, who can lead people well and adapt when the day changes ten minutes after it starts. Attitude and the ability to work with the team are just as important as industry experience.”
