About the Opportunity
Our client, Canadian Tire, is evolving its national transportation network to meet the demands of a fast-paced and digitally enabled supply chain. They are seeking a Manager, Supply Chain Capabilities to design and operationalize next-generation transportation solutions that enhance service, cost efficiency, quality, and agility.

In this high-impact role, you will collaborate closely with Transportation Operations, Distribution Centres, Planning, IT, and external partners to embed AI, automation, advanced analytics, and Lean methodologies into daily operations. Your work will directly influence how products move across the country, ensuring operational excellence while building future-ready capabilities.

Your Responsibilities
• You’ll lead initiatives to improve transportation efficiency, reduce cost per load, and enhance on-time performance across the network.
• You’ll analyze routing, dispatch, carrier utilization, yard operations, and load planning to uncover and resolve inefficiencies.
• You’ll champion Lean practices, facilitating value stream mapping, root cause analysis, and standardized process development.
• You’ll partner with IT and business teams to enhance TMS functionality, automation tools, routing optimization, and visibility platforms.
• You’ll define KPIs and develop dashboards that enable proactive, data-driven decision-making.
• You’ll build capability frameworks and multi-year roadmaps to strengthen operational discipline and AI adoption.

Skills and Qualifications
• 6 to 10 years of progressive experience in supply chain, transportation, or planning leadership roles.
• Proven success leading AI, digital transformation, or advanced analytics initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of Lean methodology and continuous improvement practices.
• Experience with TMS, optimization engines, analytics platforms, or automation tools.
• Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and drive change.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Analytics, or a related field.
