About the Opportunity

This is an excellent short-term opportunity for a polished, reliable bilingual receptionist who enjoys being the welcoming face of a professional workplace. You will support a public sector organization in a secure, appointment-based environment where professionalism, discretion, and service excellence matter every day.

Reporting into a Facilities Manager, you will work closely with internal teams, facilities staff, and members of the public, providing essential front-line support in both official languages. Your calm presence and strong judgment will help ensure visitors and callers feel supported, informed, and directed appropriately, even in sensitive or high-priority situations.

What’s In It for You

You will step into a well-structured, respectful workplace that values reliability, professionalism, and collaboration. This role offers exposure to a large, complex public sector environment while allowing you to apply and expand your administrative and customer service skills.

You will benefit from a manageable call volume, clear processes, and a supportive team, all within a workplace that prioritizes safety, organization, and balance. It is an ideal opportunity for someone who thrives in a structured setting and enjoys being a trusted point of contact.

Your Responsibilities

  • You’ll greet visitors, manage reception services, and act as the first point of contact for a secure office floor.
  • In this role, you’ll assess the nature and urgency of inquiries and transfer or direct calls appropriately.
  • You’ll provide general information to the public and internal teams in both English and French.
  • You’ll support Facilities operations by receiving deliveries, signing packing slips, and processing invoices.
  • You’ll maintain inventory lists and coordinate office supply orders.
  • You’ll assist with security access, ID card creation, and workspace booking systems.

Skills and Qualifications

  • 2+ years of receptionist or administrative experience in a professional office setting.
  • Fluent bilingual skills in English and French, both written and verbal.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to remain calm, tactful, and professional.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and comfort learning new systems.
  • High attention to confidentiality, accuracy, and detail.
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to start quickly.
