Senior Evaluation Consultant, Health and Safety Programs

Location: Canada, Remote
Language: Bilingual, fluent in English and French, written and spoken
Duration: Contract, April 1, 2026 to September 30, 2026
Security Clearance Requirement: Government of Canada Reliability Status

About the Opportunity

This is an opportunity to bring your evaluation expertise to a mandate that truly matters. You will lead a comprehensive assessment of a Health and Safety Program within a federal public sector organization, helping strengthen workplace safety, compliance, and risk management across a national environment. 

Working closely with internal stakeholders, program leaders, and employees, you will evaluate what is working well, identify gaps, and deliver clear, actionable recommendations. Your work will directly support a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement within a values-driven organization.

Responsibilities

  • You’ll lead a full end-to-end assessment of an organizational Health and Safety Program, from planning through final reporting.
  • In this role, you’ll review existing policies, procedures, and practices to assess compliance and effectiveness.
  • You’ll conduct interviews and consultations with key stakeholders and staff in both official languages.
  • You’ll benchmark program elements against federal occupational health and safety standards and best practices.
  • You’ll develop a Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment register with practical remediation strategies.
  • You’ll prepare and present clear, accessible reports and recommendations for senior audiences.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of progressive experience delivering evaluation or assessment services within regulated environments.
  • Demonstrated experience completing health and safety or hazard prevention program assessments end to end.
  • Strong analytical, writing, and presentation skills, with experience producing formal evaluation reports.
  • Proven ability to engage stakeholders and manage consultations with professionalism and discretion.
  • Fluency in English and French, written and spoken.
