About the Opportunity

This short-term consulting opportunity is ideal for someone who loves building smart, practical data tools that actually get used. You’ll support a national public sector organization focused on strengthening services for military families by creating a streamlined risk data collection and reporting solution.

Working closely with a senior leader, you’ll design a simple but scalable MS Forms based tool that gathers data from Resource Centres across Canada. Your work will directly support better decision-making, clearer risk visibility, and long-term organizational planning, long after the build is complete.

Your Responsibilities

  • In this role, you’ll design and build a data collection tool using MS Forms with simple dropdowns and free-text inputs.

  • You’ll develop a Power BI dashboard that automatically populates and visualizes incoming data for reporting and analysis.

  • You’ll ensure data can be easily extracted to Excel and refreshed as new inputs are received.

  • You’ll collaborate closely with a single internal stakeholder to define requirements and validate functionality.

  • You’ll create a clear, plain-language reference guide that explains how to update the form and dashboard in the future.


Skills and Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in data analysis, reporting, or business intelligence projects.

  • Advanced proficiency with MS Forms, Power BI, and MS Excel.

  • Experience with survey and data collection tools such as SurveyMonkey or JotForm.

  • Strong ability to translate requirements into simple, user-friendly technical solutions.

  • Clear documentation skills, with the ability to explain technical steps in plain language.

  • Comfort working independently with minimal oversight and tight timelines.
