This is an opportunity to play a key role in a major federal transformation initiative focused on long-term asset sustainability, financial modernization, and improved investment decision-making. You’ll contribute to the design of a modern IM/IT application ecosystem that supports accrual budgeting, enhanced governance, and data-driven planning across a complex national asset portfolio.

Your Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll lead the design and validation of application and solution architectures supporting enterprise financial and asset management systems.
You’ll develop architecture frameworks, models, and documentation aligned with Government of Canada standards and policies.
Working closely with business, IM/IT, and security stakeholders, you’ll ensure solutions meet operational, data, and compliance requirements.
This position involves guiding architecture decisions for Microsoft Azure and SQL Server platforms operating at the Protected B level.
You’ll provide architectural oversight and strategic technical direction in support of Agile delivery teams.
Skills and Qualifications
10+ years of experience as an Application or Software Architect, including at least 5 years within the Government of Canada.
Recent experience delivering financial systems for federal departments, agencies, or crown corporations.
Strong background in developing technology architectures, frameworks, and enterprise strategies.
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, SQL Server, and secure cloud solutions at the Protected B level.
Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
