Job Description
Our Healthcare client is seeking a Medical Secretary to provide administrative support to a physician in downtown, Toronto. This role involves front desk duties, appointment scheduling, patient communication, and coordinating referrals and lab reports.
Shift: 9:00am-3:00pm
Start: Early January
Length: 11+ weeks
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist patients and visitors
- Schedule appointments and procedures
- Manage patient charts and documentation
- Register patients on the EMR
- Communicate with referring physicians and handle correspondence
- Collaborate with other admin staff and maintain a clinical calendar
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1-2 years of medical administrative/secretarial experience
- Experience with Accuro and EPIC is highly desired
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
Additional Requirements:
- Willing to provide proof of immunizations and complete a TB test (at own cost)
