About the Opportunity

Join a national non-profit organization that plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of mental health in Canada. In this impact-driven role, you will contribute to projects that increase access to high-quality, culturally informed mental health services for communities across the country. Your work will support large-scale initiatives that advance digital and e-mental health innovation, including current projects involving AI guidance for mental health applications.

You will thrive in a collaborative, mission-focused environment where teams work closely with internal partners, and cross-collaborate across multiple program areas. You will help guide strategic initiatives, influence national conversations, and ensure that evidence-based tools and emerging technologies support better care for all.

What’s in it for You

You will join a workplace that values innovation, balance, inclusion, and meaningful impact. Expect an environment where you can build your leadership capabilities, work closely with experienced program managers, and shape best practices in a rapidly evolving e-mental health landscape. You will gain exposure to cross-functional teams, internal commissions, national committees, and senior decision makers, all committed to improving mental health access across Canada.

Your Responsibilities

  • In this role, you will lead strategic and operational planning for e-mental health initiatives, translating division goals into actionable work plans.
  • You will oversee a team of 3 direct reports, including 2 Program Managers, 1 Senior Program Manager, and 1 Program Coordinator, ensuring workloads and development needs are well supported.
  • You will ensure all projects remain on track, including a current AI guidance initiative and temporary coverage of conference-related responsibilities.
  • You will collaborate closely with internal partners while fostering cross-team alignment across the Commission.
  • You will review and develop tools, resources, and policy documents, ensuring they remain evidence informed, culturally appropriate, and impactful.
  • You will serve as a key liaison between the Director and the team, communicating progress, risks, and decisions clearly and effectively.
  • You will represent the organization at national committees, conferences, and stakeholder engagements, sharing insights and sector updates.

Skills and Qualifications

  • 6+ years of progressive experience in health promotion, stakeholder engagement, government relations, or knowledge mobilization.
  • 2+ year of management experience with the ability to lead teams in a respectful, thoughtful, and supportive manner.
  • Bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree an asset but not mandatory with strong relevant experience.
  • Strong project management experience delivering large-scale, multi-stakeholder initiatives.
  • Skilled in meeting facilitation, presenting to diverse audiences, and building collaborative relationships.
  • Ability to multitask, assess risks, and navigate complex, deadline-driven environments.
  • Experience in association or non-profit settings, especially within the mental health sector, preferred.
  • Ability to learn quickly, stay current on sector trends, and communicate clearly in written and verbal formats.

Note from the Hiring Manager
