About the Opportunity
We are supporting a national research and innovation organization in identifying a Grant Management Specialist to join their Service Delivery team. In this role, you will coordinate research grant applications from submission through project completion, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and a smooth experience for applicants and partner institutions.
You will work closely with academic researchers, partner organizations, and internal teams to ensure grants are processed efficiently and in alignment with program requirements. Your Responsibilities
- You will coordinate the full lifecycle of grant applications, ensuring eligibility, accuracy, and timely processing.
- You will review documentation, set up invoicing, track partner contributions, and collaborate with Finance to support project funding.
- You will manage project changes, revised proposals, extensions, and cancellations while advising stakeholders on requirements.
- You will prepare award letters, collect documentation, confirm project start dates, and support interns and supervisors through administrative steps.
- You will communicate with academic institutions, researchers, interns, and partners, providing guidance and resolving questions.
- You will maintain accurate records, complete data entry and archiving, and uphold departmental service levels.
- You will support departmental initiatives, collaborate with cross functional teams, and contribute to compliance reporting.
Skills and Qualifications
- Post secondary education or equivalent experience, ideally in an academic or administrative environment.
- Experience in grant administration, research administration, or a related administrative role is preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with French considered an asset.
- Proven ability to solve problems independently with a client centered mindset.
- Excellent time management, organization, and attention to detail.
- Comfortable working across teams and levels, with strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Excel (pivot tables) and Outlook.
