A large enterprise organization in the public sector is seeking a Solution Architect to provide technical leadership for a major enterprise real-time information modernization initiative. This is a high-impact role responsible for designing end-to-end architecture, integration patterns, deployment strategies, and technology roadmaps for real-time customer-facing systems used at scale. The successful architect will collaborate across internal architecture teams, product groups, strategy and governance functions, and multiple business stakeholders to ensure solutions align to enterprise standards, security frameworks, and long-term platform direction.
Roles and Responsibilities
• Lead architecture for real-time customer information platforms and supporting systems
• Produce conceptual, logical and physical architecture models + documentation
• Define integration patterns, data flows, interface specifications and ICD content
• Create deployment roadmaps and technology runway plans for phased delivery
• Evaluate solution options, recommend pathways, and assess vendor proposals
• Support governance, design reviews, and adoption of enterprise architecture standards
• Work with product teams on modernization plans, upgrades and platform design
• Identify risks, readiness issues, dependencies and mitigation strategies
• Champion structured architectural practices across multiple technology domains
Qualifications and Skills
• 7+ years in Solution Architecture / Enterprise Architecture
• Proven experience designing large, distributed or real-time systems
• Strong background with Azure cloud (compute, networking, storage, PaaS services)
• Knowledge of microservices, containerization, service design and integration models
• Ability to produce high-level & low-level solution architecture deliverables
• Strong communication, advisory capability, and stakeholder alignment skills
• Experience influencing technology decisions, guiding standards, and mentoring teams
Nice-to-Haves
• Experience with .NET, event-driven or streaming architectures
• Familiarity with enterprise asset management, customer platforms, or payment systems
• Architecture certifications (TOGAF, Azure Solutions Architect, etc.)
