Job Description

We are supporting a public-sector organization undergoing a major digital modernization and strategic technology realignment. They are seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to provide high-level architectural direction and help shape the future state of their digital ecosystem.

This role is strategic rather than hands-on, focused on enterprise-wide capability mapping, assessing the current system landscape, and guiding the evolution of cloud, data, and platform architecture across multiple business areas.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop future-state architectural direction aligned to business priorities.

  • Conduct business capability mapping across diverse programs and corporate functions.

  • Assess the current application and systems landscape to identify overlap, gaps, and opportunities for simplification.

  • Provide strategic input on cloud, SaaS, data, and integration patterns, with a focus on the Microsoft ecosystem.

  • Collaborate with executives, business units, and technical teams to guide decision-making.

  • Produce clear, high-level architectural documentation and recommendations to support planning and prioritization.

Qualifications and Skills

  • 5-8 years of experience in Enterprise Architecture, Business Architecture, Systems Analysis, or IT Strategy.

  • Experience in complex or multi-stakeholder environments (public sector an asset).

  • Strong understanding of cloud and SaaS environments, particularly Azure and M365.

  • Awareness of modern data platforms, BI tools, and data governance concepts.

  • Familiarity with enterprise AI concepts, automation, and process optimization.

  • High-level understanding of networks, infrastructure, and system integrations.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to lead workshops and present architectural recommendations.
