Digital Product Manager - Maternity Leave Coverage

Location: Etobicoke, ON or St. Catharines, ON, Hybrid, 1 day onsite per week

About the Opportunity
Our client in the financial services sector is seeking a Digital Product Manager to join their Digital Banking team for a 12-month maternity leave coverage. This is an opportunity to step into a well-established product portfolio and make an immediate impact by enhancing digital banking services across web and mobile platforms.

You will report to the Senior Manager of Digital Banking and collaborate closely with a cross-functional team of product leaders, designers, developers, analytics partners, and risk and fraud specialists. In a lean and fast-moving environment, your work will directly influence customer experience and the evolution of digital banking features.

Your Responsibilities

  • You’ll own the full product lifecycle, from discovery and roadmap planning through launch and post-launch optimization.

  • You’ll manage and prioritize a dynamic backlog of enhancements and new digital features across online and mobile banking platforms.

  • You’ll translate business needs into clear user stories and acceptance criteria within Azure DevOps, guiding delivery through the SDLC.

  • You’ll collaborate with in-house design and technology teams, supporting UAT, development, and operational readiness.

  • You’ll engage stakeholders across the organization, including risk and fraud partners, to ensure successful and compliant feature delivery.

Skills and Qualifications

  • 3+ years of progressive product management experience in a digital environment.

  • Proven experience writing user stories and working within Agile and Scrum frameworks.

  • Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle and backlog prioritization.

  • Experience navigating technical discussions with development teams.

  • Financial services or banking industry experience is an asset.

  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps (in place of Jira) a nice to have
