About the Opportunity

Our real estate client is seeking a Property Manager to support the day-to-day management of a large-scale retail property in excess of 1 million square feet. This is a 20-month contract opportunity with the potential for extension. Reporting to the General Manager, this role is responsible for tenant relations, financial oversight, operational coordination, and cross-functional support across marketing, specialty leasing, and operations.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring strong tenant satisfaction, sound financial management, and efficient property operations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage tenant relationships, including rent collection and lease compliance
  • Ensure adherence to property rules and regulations
  • Resolve tenant issues of low to moderate complexity in a timely and professional manner
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on monthly and quarterly operating budgets
  • Review tenant sales reports and assess performance trends
  • Ensure revenues and expenses remain aligned with budget targets
  • Review, verify, code, and approve small- to medium-sized operating invoices within authorization limits
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies and internal controls
  • Oversee contractor access and activities related to tenant build-outs, renovations, and construction projects
  • Monitor project timelines and ensure timely completion
  • Support marketing initiatives and specialty leasing activities as required
  • Address escalated service matters as needed
  • Monitor local economic and retail market trends
  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned

Qualifications

  • College diploma or degree in Commerce, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive retail  or commercial property management experience
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, budgeting, and financial analysis
  • Experience managing tenant relations in a large retail or commercial environment
  • Proficiency in MS Office 
  • Experience with Yardi or other real estate management platforms considered an asset
  • RPA designation considered an asset
