About the Opportunity

Altis Recruitment is partnering with a well-established commercial real estate organization to hire a Mobile Maintenance Technician supporting a portfolio of six properties across Ottawa. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their day, takes pride in preventative maintenance, and values delivering excellent service to tenants.

You will be part of a collaborative local team of technicians who support one another and take ownership of building operations. Working across office and mixed commercial environments, your work will directly impact tenant experience, safety, and overall building performance.

Your Responsibilities

  • You will perform preventative maintenance and respond to service requests across six assigned commercial buildings.
  • You will support HVAC systems, building automation systems, lighting, security, and energy controls.
  • You will complete generator testing, including occasional 6am start times.
  • You will respond to emergency calls when required and document work orders using a digital system.
  • You will travel between properties using a company-provided vehicle and gas card.

Skills and Qualifications

  • 2+ years of building maintenance experience, preferably in commercial environments
  • Experience supporting HVAC and BAS systems is an asset
  • Valid G driver’s license and comfortable working at heights, including ladder use
  • Ability to work independently across multiple sites
  • Strong communication skills and customer service mindset
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain security clearance
