Project Coordinator, IT Infrastructure Project

Location: New Westminster, BC, Hybrid, minimum 2 days per week onsite
Language: English, strong written and spoken communication required
Duration: 12-month contract with potential for extension

About the Opportunity

We are partnering with a leading public sector transportation organization to find an experienced Project Coordinator to support a portfolio of IT infrastructure and facility relocation projects. This is an opportunity to play a key role in delivering technology initiatives that directly support essential services across a large, complex enterprise.

You will work closely with Project Managers, business stakeholders, vendors, and cross-functional teams, helping ensure projects stay on track, on budget, and aligned with governance standards. Your Responsibilities

  • You will coordinate multiple IT infrastructure and relocation projects, supporting planning, scheduling, risk tracking, and milestone reporting.

  • You will manage project financials, producing monthly and quarterly reports on budgets, forecasts, and burn rates.

  • You will administer contracts, support procurement activities including RFIs and RFPs, and monitor vendor performance and compliance.

  • You will prepare governance documentation such as change approvals and funding submissions, ensuring timely completion and review.

  • You will facilitate meetings, prepare agendas and minutes, and maintain project documentation across SharePoint and other tools.

  • You will support onboarding and offboarding activities for project resources, coordinating system access, hardware, and documentation.

Skills and Qualifications

  • 7+ years of IT program or project coordination experience within complex environments

  • Experience managing project financials and producing regular budget and variance reports

  • Demonstrated experience coordinating vendor contracts and procurement documentation

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project Online, SharePoint, and OneDrive

  • Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail in fast-paced settings
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement abilities
  • Experience with IT Infrastructure projects is highly desirable.  
  • Experience working in a public sector organization is an asset.
