About the Opportunity

Our client, a leading mining and large-scale construction organization, is seeking a detail-oriented Contract Administrator to join their project team. In this role, you will work closely with the Lead Contract Administrator, project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure all contract obligations are met and project objectives are achieved. Your contributions will support the successful execution of complex projects in the Canadian Arctic, helping the team navigate contractual requirements, schedules, and deliverables.

You will play a hands-on role in monitoring construction activities, managing contract changes, and fostering collaboration across teams. This is an opportunity to apply your contract administration expertise in a dynamic environment where precision, communication, and teamwork directly impact project success and organizational growth.

What’s in it for You

You will join a collaborative and professional team with exposure to large-scale projects in the mining and construction sectors. This role offers opportunities to develop your expertise in contract management, claims administration, and project coordination while working in a unique and challenging environment. You’ll also gain insight into culturally aware operations and best practices for remote and Arctic projects.

Your Responsibilities

  • You will participate in developing the contractual approach and strategy alongside the contract agent.

  • In this role, you will review, analyze, and revise contracts for equipment, materials, services, and subcontractor work.

  • You will organize and lead weekly site meetings with contractors to ensure project objectives are met.

  • You will monitor delivery schedules, work progress, and communicate with customers and suppliers to resolve issues.

  • You will manage contract changes, including cost and time adjustments, and support claims administration and negotiation.

  • You will maintain contract registers, coordinate with quantity surveyors, and drive contract close-out activities.

Skills and Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of contract administration experience, ideally in mining or large-scale construction projects.

  • Bachelor’s degree in administration, finance, law, engineering, or a related field.

  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and understanding of common legal and contractual terms.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in teams.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

  • Awareness of cultural considerations and remote Arctic work environments is an asset.

  • Advanced English language skills, written and spoken.
