Job Description

Location: Ottawa, Ontario, Remote

About the Opportunity

This is a unique opportunity to join a policy and governance function at a pivotal moment of transformation. The organization has recently redesigned its entire policy hierarchy and framework, and is now focused on standing up the foundational processes needed to implement and sustain it. As the Senior Policy Analyst, you will play a central role in leading the full policy revamp, turning strategic structure into operational reality.

Working within a small, highly engaged team, you will operate at a programmatic level, partnering closely with risk, policy, and business stakeholders. Your work will shape how policies are developed, governed, and maintained across the organization, ensuring clarity, consistency, and alignment with enterprise standards. This is a hands-on role where your guidance and execution directly enable enterprise-wide success.

Your Responsibilities

  • Research and write standards aligned with the Policy of Policies and internal governance documentation.

  • Develop policy frameworks across operational, strategic, financial, and reputational risk domains, each with defined delivery timelines.

  • Lead the full policy revamp, establishing foundational processes and ensuring the new policy suite is implemented consistently.

  • Design intake forms and procedures that support the full policy management lifecycle.

  • Support internal teams with policy writing needs, acting as a subject matter resource and coordinator.

  • Manage implementation plans and road maps, ensuring policy frameworks are operationalized effectively.

  • Facilitate workshops, deconstruction sessions, and information-gathering discussions to build shared understanding and momentum.

  • Prepare and deliver clear, executive-ready presentations to support decision-making and alignment.


Skills and Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience managing policy and governance initiatives at a programmatic level

  • Demonstrated experience leading a full policy revamp

  • Proven experience overseeing a full policy suite, including governance, frameworks, and lifecycle management

  • Strong writing and research skills, with the ability to translate complexity into clear standards and frameworks

  • Experience facilitating workshops and coordinating cross-functional stakeholders

  • Proven ability to manage multiple deliverables, timelines, and dependencies

  • Advanced PowerPoint and presentation development skills
