About the Opportunity

This is a senior-level opportunity to bring structure, clarity, and confidence to an organization’s corporate insurance program. As the Insurance Specialist, you will serve as the subject matter expert, guiding how insurance supports enterprise-wide risk management and long-term resilience.

Working within a values-driven public sector financial services environment, you will collaborate closely with Enterprise Risk Management, Legal, internal risk owners, and external insurance providers. Your work will directly influence how risk is understood, mitigated, and communicated across the organization, ensuring teams feel supported and protected.

What’s in it for You

You will join a collaborative, purpose-led organization that values thoughtful decision-making and professional expertise. This role offers meaningful exposure to senior stakeholders and the opportunity to shape insurance governance from end to end.

You will be trusted to lead, document, and improve processes while transferring knowledge to internal teams. It is a chance to leave a lasting impact through strong frameworks, clear documentation, and sustainable practices.

Your Responsibilities

  • You’ll act as the organization’s insurance expert, providing strategic guidance and practical oversight across all insurance matters.

  • In this role, you’ll lead the development of clear documentation outlining responsibilities, accountabilities, and consultation pathways.

  • You’ll review and evaluate the current suite of insurance products using a risk-based approach to confirm appropriate coverage levels.

  • You’ll collaborate with Enterprise Risk Management, Legal, risk owners, and insurance providers to assess current and future insurance needs.

  • You’ll oversee the cancellation of unnecessary policies and support the application and onboarding of new insurance products.

  • You’ll lead insurance renewals, claims processes, and associated operational requirements from start to finish.

  • You’ll document processes, recommend enhancements, and transfer knowledge to internal staff to build long-term capability.

Skills and Qualifications

  • 3+ years of progressive experience in corporate insurance, risk management, or a related field

  • Strong knowledge of insurance program design, renewals, and claims management

  • Proven ability to assess risk and align insurance coverage with organizational needs

  • Experience working with Legal and Enterprise Risk Management teams

  • Excellent documentation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills

  • Ability to work independently while leading complex initiatives
