About the Opportunity

This is a hands-on opportunity for a Process Engineer who thrives on solving real problems and seeing their ideas come to life on the production floor. Reporting to the Director of Operations, you will play a key role in strengthening safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance while helping eliminate waste across manufacturing processes.

You will join a growing operations team within the manufacturing sector, working closely with supervisors, engineers, and hourly team members across Canada, with collaboration extending to a US-based facility. Your work will directly support the launch of a new product line and help build internal capability, ensuring long-term flexibility, reliability, and customer confidence.

What’s in it for You

You will step into a newly created role with room to shape how processes evolve. The environment values continuous improvement, practical problem-solving, and face-to-face collaboration. Expect mentorship from experienced process specialists, exposure to meaningful capital and automation projects, and a culture that values initiative, accountability, and time spent where the work happens, on the shop floor.

Your Responsibilities

  • You will analyze current manufacturing processes, identifying opportunities to improve quality, yield, cost, and delivery.
  • In this role, you will support the introduction of a new internally manufactured product line, from process development through validation.
  • You will lead data-driven investigations using SPC, trend analysis, and root cause tools such as 5 Whys and 8Ds.
  • You will collaborate cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Maintenance, Quality, and Engineering teams to implement sustainable improvements.
  • You will conduct experiments, including DOE, and clearly document findings, conclusions, and recommendations.
  • You will establish process controls, metrics, and monitoring methods to ensure consistent, defect-free production.

Skills and Qualifications

  • 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proven experience leading continuous improvement or process optimization projects.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify root causes.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, SPC, and quality systems, ISO knowledge preferred.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD or similar design software.
  • Clear communicator who can influence across teams and provide concise updates.

Note from the Hiring Manager
