About the Opportunity

This is a rare opportunity for an Infectious Disease Physician to make a meaningful impact within a highly collaborative public sector healthcare environment. You’ll provide specialized care to patients living with complex infectious diseases, including HIV, hepatitis B and C, tuberculosis, and other communicable conditions, in a setting where access to high-quality, patient-centered care truly matters.

Your Responsibilities

• You’ll assess, diagnose, and manage patients with complex infectious diseases through on-site clinics and consultations.
• In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, mental health professionals, and allied health teams to deliver integrated care.
• You’ll document all assessments, treatment plans, and follow-ups within an electronic medical record system.
• You’ll contribute to interdisciplinary care planning and continuity of care during transfers or hospitalizations.
• You’ll provide consultation, education, and guidance on infectious disease protocols and outbreak response when required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of recent experience practicing as an Infectious Disease Physician within a multidisciplinary team
• Certification in Infectious Diseases from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada
• Active license in good standing with the provincial College of Physicians and Surgeons
• Demonstrated experience in patient-centered, trauma-informed, and culturally safe care
• Strong communication skills and comfort working in complex, regulated environments
