About the Opportunity

Altis is partnering with a large, enterprise organization to recruit a Senior Data Analytical Specialist or Scientist to join a high-impact Data Platform team. This role plays a critical part in enabling trusted, scalable data solutions that support enterprise decision-making and advanced analytics across the organization.

You’ll work alongside data engineers, architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to ensure data is accurately mapped, validated, and documented as it moves across complex platforms. Your expertise will help bridge business requirements and technical execution, ensuring data quality, integrity, and confidence at scale.

Your Responsibilities

  • You’ll lead detailed data mapping activities between source systems, data platforms, and target destinations.
  • You’ll document field-level mappings, transformation logic, lineage, and business rules in a clear, version-controlled manner.
  • You’ll analyze and profile datasets to identify data quality issues, gaps, risks, and inconsistencies.
  • You’ll collaborate closely with engineers, architects, and business partners to translate business definitions into technical documentation.
  • You’ll support data validation and reconciliation efforts during migrations and integrations.
  • You’ll contribute to dashboards, reports, and analytics to support business insights and decision-making.
  • You’ll facilitate workshops to align stakeholders on data definitions and mapping decisions.

Skills and Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in data mapping, documentation, and data quality initiatives.
  • 8+ years of experience working with Microsoft Azure-based data platforms.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, data profiling, and validation techniques.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI.
  • Solid understanding of relational databases, ETL processes, and data integration patterns.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.
