As a Senior Data Engineer, this is an opportunity to play a lead role in shaping a major public sector data and analytics platform built on modern, cloud-native technologies. Your Responsibilities
- In this role, you will design, build and implement batch and real-time data pipelines that align with enterprise data governance standards.
- You will develop and propose design patterns that meet requirements and support access, query and consumption needs while aligning with internal architecture standards.
- You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, IT teams and data scientists to refine data requirements and support analytics initiatives.
- You will strengthen platform performance by accelerating data onboarding, building robust data pipelines and improving quality through DevSecOps practices.
Skills and Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in data engineering, including strong programming skills in Spark, Python and Scala.
- Expertise with Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse and Delta Lakes.
- Experience leading data engineering practices within a team or organization.
- Knowledge of integration technologies such as Azure Event Hub, Azure Functions and C#.
- Proficiency with modeling techniques such as Data Vaults, Star, Snowflake and 3NF, with experience completing 2 to 3 Data Vault projects.
