Our client, a large and well established Canadian retailer, is seeking a Manager, Transportation, Operations Support and Analysis to lead a team that provides centralized support across all transportation modes. This role plays a key part in ensuring operational efficiency, cost accuracy, and strategic decision making through analytics, modeling, and oversight of systems and processes.
In this position, you will collaborate closely with transportation providers, internal leaders, and cross functional business partners. Your work will help inform investment decisions, strengthen performance, and support the ongoing transformation of the transportation function within a complex, high volume environment.

• You will lead and coach a team of individual contributors focused on transportation systems and analytics, fostering engagement and growth.
• You will oversee quantitative analysis for Transportation RFPs across multiple modes, implementing outcomes within internal systems.
• You will manage transportation service providers using KPIs, dashboards, and performance reviews to drive continuous improvement.
• You will maintain accurate rate repositories, support invoice exception resolution, and build cost models for domestic transportation.
• You will perform Cost Benefit Analysis and Opex vs. Capex modeling that support key investment decisions.
• You will publish weekly fuel policy updates for common carriers and oversee rail channel contracts and related service programs.
• You will ensure proper system setups and integrations across TMS, YMS, and multi carrier platforms while championing new tools and AI enabled process enhancements.
• You will monitor government policy changes and market conditions, advising leadership on potential operational impacts and opportunities.
• 5 plus years of leadership experience in transportation or supply chain, supporting high volume operations.
• Post secondary education in Logistics, Transportation, Engineering, Business, Finance, or equivalent experience.
• Strong proficiency with transportation systems such as TMS, YMS, and multi carrier shipping platforms.
• Advanced analytical skills with the ability to model cost and service trade offs.
• Proven project management experience supporting cross functional initiatives.
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to present complex information clearly to various audiences.
