Our client, a well-established organization within the real estate sector, is seeking a Technical Services Manager to lead operations across a large-scale, high-profile downtown portfolio. This role plays a critical part in ensuring building performance, safety, and sustainability while supporting long-term asset value.
You’ll work closely with property management, operations teams, service partners, and tenants to deliver seamless building operations. Oversee all base building systems, including mechanical, electrical, and life safety components, ensuring optimal performance and compliance.
Lead preventive maintenance programs and sustainability initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce energy consumption.
Manage utility tracking and implement energy conservation strategies to support operational and environmental goals.
Plan and execute capital projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard of quality.
Collaborate closely with property management to develop and manage capital plans and operating budgets.
Lead, mentor, and support a multidisciplinary operations team, fostering a culture of performance, accountability, and collaboration.
5+ years of experience in commercial property operations, including people leadership responsibilities
Post-secondary education in Engineering, Facility Management, or a related field (BES I & II, SMT, or SMA considered strong assets)
Demonstrated experience managing capital projects and operational budgets
Strong technical knowledge of building systems and automation technologies
Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Yardi
A collaborative leadership style with strong communication and stakeholder management skills
