Job Description

Our client is seeking to hire a Site Superintendent to oversee and manage commercial fit-up projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in commercial fit-ups, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality and safety standards. This role requires a hands-on leader with excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of the construction site, including scheduling, resource allocation, and daily site activities.
  • Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and on-site personnel to ensure smooth workflow.
  •  Monitor construction progress and quality to ensure work meets project specifications and standards.
  • Enforce all safety regulations and ensure compliance with local building codes, permits, and company policies.
  • Develop and maintain project timelines, adjust schedules as needed, and communicate changes to stakeholders.
  •  Address and resolve on-site issues, conflicts, or delays promptly to minimize impact on project timelines.
  •  Maintain accurate records, including daily reports, safety inspections, change orders, and progress updates.
  • Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for clients, architects, and project managers, ensuring clear communication and expectations are met.
  •  Monitor expenses and approve invoices to ensure the project stays within budget.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years as a Site Superintendent with significant experience in commercial fit-ups.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, specifications, and construction drawings. Familiarity with project management software is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of commercial construction methods, materials, and best practices.
  •  Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate teams while maintaining a productive and positive work environment.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills to handle unexpected challenges.
