Job Description

Location: Edmonton, AB (On-site, 5 days per week)

About the Opportunity

Altis Recruitment is partnering with a public sector organization to hire an Intermediate Procurement Specialist to support complex, high-impact sourcing initiatives. This role sits at the intersection of strategy and execution, where your ability to translate business needs into structured procurement processes will directly influence project success.

 

You will work closely with internal stakeholders, project teams, and vendors to develop and manage RFX processes from planning through to contract finalization. This is a highly collaborative environment where attention to detail, strong communication, and sound procurement knowledge will contribute to fair, transparent, and effective outcomes.

Your Responsibilities

  • You’ll support the development of procurement strategies aligned with project goals and evaluation criteria
  • In this role, you’ll research and refine business and technical requirements, translating them into detailed RFX documents
  • You’ll manage solicitation processes, including drafting documents, coordinating bidder communications, and supporting vendor inquiries
  • You’ll lead evaluation support activities, including developing scoring methodologies, reviewing proposals, and preparing award recommendations
  • You’ll assist with contract finalization, post-procurement reviews, and vendor performance evaluations
  • You’ll maintain accurate procurement records and ensure audit-compliant documentation within systems such as Ariba and SharePoint

 

Skills and Qualifications

  • 3+ years of progressive experience in public sector or regulated procurement environments
  • Proven experience preparing and managing RFX documents and evaluation processes
  • Strong understanding of procurement policies, compliance requirements, and contract lifecycle management
  • Experience working with procurement systems such as Ariba, 1GX, or similar platforms
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills with high attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills in collaborative environments
