About the Opportunity
Our client in the financial services sector is seeking a Cloud Security Architect to support critical cyber security and cloud transformation initiatives. In this role, you will work closely with cyber security leadership to shape secure, scalable cloud environments that align with regulatory expectations and enterprise risk frameworks.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess current cloud environments, define future-state architectures, and embed security into every stage of cloud adoption. Your Responsibilities
• You’ll assess current and target-state cloud architectures to support secure and compliant cloud migration initiatives
• In this role, you’ll identify security risks, control gaps, and recommend practical, risk-based solutions
• You’ll develop and maintain security standards, policies, and reusable architecture artifacts
• You’ll lead threat modelling exercises, identifying vulnerabilities and advising on mitigation strategies
• You’ll translate complex technical risks into clear business impacts for stakeholders and leadership
• You’ll support implementation planning and provide expert guidance through workshops and knowledge transfer
Skills and Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience in IT or cyber security, including cloud environments
• 3+ years of experience as a Cloud Security Architect or senior specialist in regulated environments
• Proven experience designing and governing cloud security controls, including IAM, network security, and data protection
• Strong knowledge of security frameworks such as NIST and ISO 27001
• Experience with cloud platforms, particularly Azure and hybrid environments
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence both technical and business stakeholders
