Senior Financial Analyst- Contract

Location:
Toronto, ON, On-site 5 days per week
Compensation: $55.00 to $58.00 per hour, T4
Language: Strong written and verbal communication skills in English required
Duration: 3-month contract

About the Opportunity
Our client, a large public sector organization, is seeking a Senior Finance Analyst to support a high-impact period of transformation. This is a hands-on, project-driven role focused on strengthening financial insights, improving reporting, and supporting strategic decision-making across the organization.

You’ll work closely with finance leaders, HR, and business partners to analyze complex data, refine funding and workforce models, and deliver meaningful insights to senior leadership. Your Responsibilities

  • You’ll support the development and refinement of financial and funding models through detailed analysis and scenario planning
  • You’ll analyze workforce data, including headcount and utilization trends, to support planning and decision-making
  • You’ll build and enhance reporting for senior leadership, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and actionable insights
  • You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate data, align assumptions, and improve reporting processes
  • You’ll translate complex data into clear recommendations to support strategic initiatives

Skills and Qualifications

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or a related field
  • Strong proficiency in Excel, including advanced data analysis and modelling
  • Experience with financial modelling, scenario analysis, and reporting
  • Exposure to Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools is an asset
  • Strong analytical thinking with the ability to work through ambiguity
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to present insights clearly
