About the Opportunity

Our client, a well-established leader in Ontario’s construction sector, is seeking a Business Systems Manager to lead its Business Systems and Technology function. Supporting a dynamic, project-driven environment, you will play a pivotal role in strengthening ERP governance, standardizing processes, and ensuring teams across Finance, Materials Management, and Project Operations can work confidently within the system.

Reporting to the CFO and partnering closely with operational leaders, this role blends strategic oversight with hands-on system leadership. You will influence how teams collaborate, how data drives decisions, and how technology supports scalable growth across a multi-division organization.

What’s in it for You

This is an opportunity to shape and elevate business systems within a respected, growth-oriented organization. You will work alongside collaborative leaders who value practical problem solving and disciplined execution.

Expect meaningful exposure to cross-functional operations, the ability to build structure where it matters most, and the chance to mentor and develop internal talent. The culture values accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Your Responsibilities

  • You’ll own ERP administration, including security roles, access standards, governance, and user lifecycle management.
  • In this role, you’ll lead upgrades, testing cycles, vendor coordination, and rollout planning to ensure seamless system performance.
  • You’ll standardize processes, templates, and SOPs across departments to strengthen consistency and data quality.
  • You’ll partner with Finance and Operations stakeholders to improve workflows, reduce rework, and drive system adoption.
  • You’ll develop reporting standards and coordinate integrations with Microsoft 365 tools and other operational platforms.
  • You’ll provide leadership and direction to the Associate System Manager, setting clear priorities and service expectations.

Skills and Qualifications

  • 10+ years of ERP and business systems experience, including hands-on administration
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, Technology, Finance, or related field
  • Strong governance, controls, and security role design expertise
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional change and system adoption initiatives
  • Experience supporting multi-entity or project-based environments, construction experience is an asset
  • Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder relationship-building skills
