About the Opportunity
This contract opportunity supports a fast-paced, people-focused organization experiencing increased recruitment demand. As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will step in as an extra set of expert hands, helping the HR team manage high-volume hiring while maintaining quality, accuracy, and speed.
Working closely with a small and collaborative People and Culture team, you will act as a key connector between hiring managers, external agencies, and candidates. Your ability to keep processes moving, communicate clearly, and stay organized under pressure will be essential to keeping recruitment timelines on track.

Your Responsibilities
You’ll review and validate job descriptions, highlighting key details before roles are posted.
In this role, you’ll act as the main point of contact for 2 to 3 external recruitment agencies.
You’ll review, screen, and shortlist resumes as soon as they are received.
You’ll conduct prescreen interviews to assess candidate fit and readiness.
You’ll coordinate interviews with HR partners and hiring managers, including in-person interviews.
You’ll maintain accurate records in the applicant tracking system and support job portal activity.
You’ll help close the recruitment loop efficiently once hiring decisions are made.
Skills and Qualifications
3+ years of hands-on talent acquisition or recruitment experience.
Proven ability to manage urgent, high-volume hiring within defined turnaround times.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with comfort working under pressure.
Experience working with applicant tracking systems and job boards.
High attention to detail and a structured, process-oriented mindset.
Background in healthcare recruitment is an asset but not required.
