About the Opportunity

Our client, a respected organization within the commercial real estate sector, is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to support their Real Estate Management Services team. This role plays a key part in ensuring financial accuracy by managing invoice processing, supporting reporting requirements, and contributing to the smooth operation of a diverse real estate portfolio.

 

Working closely with Property Managers, accounting teams, vendors, and tenants, you will act as a reliable point of support for accounts payable and related administrative processes. Your Responsibilities

  • You’ll review, code, and process invoices daily in Yardi, ensuring accurate GL allocation and timely approvals.
  • In this role, you’ll sort invoices into CAPEX or OPS and follow up with managers to ensure prompt processing.
  • You’ll work directly with vendors and internal accounting teams to resolve billing discrepancies and ensure timely submissions.
  • You’ll support monthly sales reporting by tracking tenant submissions, updating summaries, and preparing client reports.
  • You’ll maintain tenant files, lease summaries, insurance certificates, and contact lists to support accurate records.
  • You’ll assist with general office and AP-related administration, including documentation, reporting support, and backup for the Property Administration team.

 

Skills and Qualifications

  • 2 to 3 years of related experience in accounts payable, accounting support, or property administration.
  • Hands on experience using Yardi is an asset.
  • Previous exposure to commercial real estate or property management environments is an asset.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Experience using Yardi and basic accounting knowledge are considered strong assets.
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage deadlines without compromising accuracy.
  • Clear communication skills and a proactive, collaborative approach to work.
