About the Opportunity

As a Senior QA Automation Engineer / Developer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping how software is tested and delivered. You will define, implement, and optimize automation strategies that ensure high-quality, reliable systems across cloud-based and distributed environments. In this role, you will partner closely with software architects, development teams, and operations professionals, driving automation initiatives that improve system performance, reliability, and inclusivity. You will mentor product teams, establish best practices, and implement scalable frameworks that enable multiple testing scenarios. Your work will ensure that functional, performance, security, integration, and accessibility (AODA) testing are seamlessly integrated into the software development lifecycle.

Your Responsibilities

  • You’ll design and implement automation strategies covering functional, performance, security, load, smoke, accessibility (AODA), and integration testing.

  • You’ll develop and maintain scalable, reusable automation frameworks that support multiple environments and scenarios.

  • You’ll lead and mentor product teams, promoting automation best practices and a culture of quality.

  • You’ll integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, enabling seamless validation of software changes.

  • You’ll analyze test results and system logs to identify bottlenecks and drive process improvements.

  • You’ll conduct root cause analysis of defects, collaborating with developers to enhance system reliability.

  • You’ll research and implement emerging technologies and techniques to advance automation effectiveness.

Skills and Qualifications

  • 8+ years of progressive experience in QA automation engineering or related roles.

  • Strong experience designing, developing, and maintaining automation frameworks.

  • Advanced programming skills (e.g., Java, C#, Python) and expertise in automation techniques.

  • Experience integrating automated tests into deployment pipelines and cloud-based environments.

  • Proven ability to lead initiatives, mentor teams, and drive strategic testing improvements.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to optimize test coverage, improve system reliability, and ensure accessibility compliance (AODA).
