Our federal government client is seeking a Senior Application Support Developer to support and enhance its Enterprise Web Content Management System (EWCMS). The environment supports over 200 public-facing and internal websites globally and plays a mission-critical role in digital service delivery.
This role focuses on the design, development, deployment, and support of web APIs and the integration of enterprise systems with the EWCMS platform.
Design, develop, and deploy RESTful web API endpoints
Support integration between EWCMS and mission-critical enterprise applications
Assist with transitioning web applications out of the current EWCMS environment
Follow the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and produce required technical documentation
Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a production web environment
Provide third-level application support for custom-developed solutions
Collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, developers, and stakeholders
Deliver knowledge transfer and training to internal teams
Provide regular status updates to the development lead
Fully tested and functional software updates
Source code checked into the departmental DevOps repository
Design and technical documentation
Documented responses to problem reports
Status reports and technical meeting documentation
Minimum 8 years of experience (within the last 10 years) with:
C#
.NET
Transact-SQL (including stored procedures)
XML
HTML
JavaScript
Minimum 2 years of experience (within the last 5 years) developing REST APIs using Microsoft .NET
Demonstrated experience working in enterprise-scale web environments
Ability to clearly document technical solutions and development work
Strong collaboration and communication skills
Secret security clearance is required
Work will be performed primarily on-site within the National Capital Region
Work on large-scale, enterprise web platforms with national and international impact
Engage in modern API-driven integration initiatives
Long-term contract stability with a well-established federal client
