About the Opportunity
Our client, a mission-driven organization within the public and community services sector, is seeking a Programs & Communications Specialist to support impactful programs focused on employment and community engagement. In this role, you will help shape how programs are communicated to diverse audiences, ensuring clarity, accessibility, and strong engagement across multiple platforms.
You will work closely with program leaders and cross-functional teams to bring initiatives to life through thoughtful storytelling, strategic campaigns, and data-driven insights. This is an opportunity to contribute behind the scenes while playing a key role in elevating visibility and delivering meaningful support to families and communities.

Your Responsibilities
- Develop and execute communication strategies that support program goals and enhance engagement
- Create and edit content across newsletters, websites, social media, and promotional materials
- Manage social media channels, track performance metrics, and recommend improvements
- Coordinate communication plans for events and stakeholder initiatives
- Ensure brand consistency across all platforms and materials
- Analyze data and provide insights to optimize campaigns and outreach efforts
Skills and Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of experience in communications, marketing, public relations, or a related field
- Proven ability to create and execute communication plans and content across multiple platforms
- Experience managing social media tools such as Hootsuite or Meta Business Suite
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with attention to detail
- Experience with tools such as Mailchimp and Canva, with intermediate design capabilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment
