Job Description

The Implementation Project Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing the implementation of enterprise asset management (EAM) software and related technologies. This role ensures successful planning, execution, and transition of system deployments while coordinating with multiple stakeholders. The successful candidate will manage project cutover activities, ensure governance requirements are met, and oversee knowledge transfer to sustainment teams.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed implementation and cutover plans for software and device deployments.

  • Collaborate with business units, IT teams, and vendor partners to ensure all deployment activities are captured, assigned, and tracked.

  • Manage deliverables and documentation related to knowledge transition for business, functional, and technical teams.

  • Ensure compliance with project management office (PMO) gating requirements and present deployment plans at review meetings.

  • Work with application architects to establish and implement environment and configuration management governance.

  • Oversee environment and configuration management activities to ensure adherence to established governance processes

Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with at least 3 years in enterprise software or asset management system implementations.

  • Proven experience managing environments, system integration, data migration, and cutover activities in complex deployments.

  • Strong proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project, MS ADO, or Trello.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to risk mitigation and issue resolution.

  • Ability to manage cross-functional teams and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.

  • ITIL Foundation or other relevant certifications.
