Business Continuity Management Business Partner

Our client, a national leader in the financial services industry, is seeking a Business Continuity Management (BCM) Business Partner to join their team in Toronto.

This high-impact hybrid role will focus on designing, testing and implementing comprehensive business continuity strategies and developing plans and processes that strengthen organizational resilience and minimize impacts during disruptions.

If you have 5+ years of experience in Business Continuity Management with expertise in testing strategy, risk assessment, disaster recovery, ISO standards, and compliance, in addition to a passion for FinTech and payment innovation, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and implementation of Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) that strengthen organizational resilience and support the continuation of seamless operations in the event of potential disruptions.
• Design and execute comprehensive testing strategies, ensuring that BCPs, Disaster Recovery Plans (DRPs), and mass call tree tests are carried out annually, meeting regulatory and contractual requirements.
• Work cross-functionally to develop well-documented business impact assessments and processes for essential systems, critical staff, and key controls that mitigate operational impacts during disruptions.
• Review and assess organizational contingency plans, challenging existing strategies and providing expert guidance and risk analysis to leadership, optimizing resource allocation and operational continuity.
• Lead and facilitate high-impact tabletop exercises, collaborating with internal stakeholders to execute annual testing initiatives that strengthen business resilience.
• Complete After Incident and After Test reports that ensure completion of findings, gaps, and action items.

Qualifications & Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in Business Continuity Management (BCM) with expertise in testing, implementation, documentation, governance, and compliance.
• A relevant educational background, with additional BCM-related designations (The Business Continuity Institute/The Disaster Recovery Institute).
• Extensive knowledge of ISO certifications applicable to BCM and Information Security (i.e.: ISO 22301).
• Proven experience designing and facilitating high-impact tabletop exercises and mass call tree testing.
• A strong understanding of risk management, disaster recovery, compliance, and operational resilience.
• Exceptional collaboration, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Highly proactive, analytical, and detail-oriented, with excellent project management skills.
• Knowledge of BCM tools such as ServiceNow and Fusion Risk are a strong asset.
