Job Description

Our client, a leading provider in the hydroponics industry, is seeking a Customer Service & Inside Sales Representative to support their sales and customer service operations. This role involves handling inbound inquiries, processing orders, and supporting the sales team by communicating promotions with current customers and through proactive outreach to former customers. 

This is a 3-month remote contract opportunity with the option to work onsite at the client's office if desired. Work hours are Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm. Candidates must be legally eligible to work in Canada.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service via phone and email, assisting with orders and product reservations.
  • Assist with orders submitted on Orderdesk as available.
  • Follow up with customers after trade show orders to confirm details and shipping information.
  • Prepare and enter sales orders in Microsoft Dynamics AX.
  • Re-engage former customers to drive sales opportunities.
  • Provide accurate and detailed information of customer requirements for quotation.
  • Collaborate with Operations regarding customer orders and delivery requirements.

Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of experience in a customer service environment ideally in a wholesale/warehouse setting or related fast-pace industry
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively.
  • High attention to detail
  • Proficiency in data entry and working with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Oracle, etc.).
  • Fluency in Spanish or French is considered an asset.
