Application Analyst

Our client is seeking a Application Analyst to join their team for a 7 month contract. The successful candidate will provide technical support, troubleshoot issues, and build reports for a large-scale data platform. They will collaborate with end-users and IT teams to ensure the platform meets user needs, drive process improvements, and resolve technical challenges. Strong analytical, communication, and customer service skills are essential.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain technical documentation, user guides, and training materials.
• Support Big Data and Business Intelligence systems.
• Administer user access and data management for the platform, ensuring smooth operation across different system endpoints.
• Manage ticketing systems and handle user issues, incidents, and change management processes.
• Troubleshoot issues across a range of system components and cloud-based services.
• Manage cloud infrastructure services, including virtual machines and storage solutions.
• Collaborate with teams to optimize data storage, retrieval systems, and data analytics processes.
• Create and manage dashboards and reports for decision-making purposes.

Qualifications and Skills

• 1+ years of experience in a similar role, providing technical support and troubleshooting for large-scale data platforms.
• Experience with Big Data platforms, cloud infrastructure and services (Azure preferred), data warehouse and reporting tools.
• Experience in system maintenance, upgrades, and patching for cloud platforms, including CDP Public Cloud.
• Strong familiarity with Kubernetes clusters and Linux OS.
• Knowledge of troubleshooting and fixing issues with various technologies including Azure Kubernetes Services, HDFS, Yarn, Hive, and Cloudera Data Warehouse.
• Experience with access management, incident tracking, and change management using tools like Service Now.
• Ability to administer and audit user access and data management across multiple endpoints.

• Experience with cost analysis and subscriptions.
• Experience developing dashboards and reports.
