Job Title: Data Modeler
Duration: 1 year with 2-year optional extensions
Location: Hybrid (4 days a month onsite)

Background:
Join a dynamic team contributing to this multi-year initiative aims to modernize technology and streamline operations in delivering homeowner mortgage loan insurance services.

Tasks Include:

• Lead a design workshop to facilitate an understating of business data needs and how they are mapped to the data model
• Create logical data model to identify business entities, attributes and their relationship
• Convert logical models to physical models for the databases in use and provide DDLs to the implementation team
• Test the DDLS and ensure the models are deployed to all environments are consistently
• Implement data quality standards to ensure the accuracy and reliability of data in the operational databases

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in implementing data models for operational systems.
• Strong proficiency in data modeling tools and techniques, in depth knowledge of Third Normal Form (3NF) principles and database normalization.
• Experience developing data models with a relational database management system (RDBMS), preferably Azure SQL.
• Government Reliability Status security clearance
• Knowledge of government or financial industries

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bilingualism (French and English)
