Job Description

Our client, a leading retail client, is seeking a Senior Payroll Coordinator to join their Finance team. This role will support Payroll, Benefits, Pension, and Absence administration for Canadian and US employee groups. This is a high-volume, detail-oriented role, ideal for someone with payroll experience in a multi-national environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and validate multiple pay frequency payroll cycles for Canadian and US employees, ensuring accuracy and timely processing

  • Compile and remit Withholding Orders

  • Complete and review audit reports for accuracy and reasonability

  • Provide exceptional customer service regarding colleague life-cycle inquiries

  • Develop compliance knowledge of relevant payroll, benefits, pension, and absence administration regulations and legislation in both Canada and the US, including union agreements

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience with full-cycle payroll, benefits, pension, and absence administration in a large multi-national organization (Canada and US operations)

  • Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certification, Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC), or Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) designation is considered an asset

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while prioritizing tasks effectively

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Workday (HRIS and Payroll), SAP, or time and attendance systems (STAS, Kronos, Workday) is an asset

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; bilingual (English/French) is an asset

Schedule & Details

  • Shift: Full-time onsite, Monday to Friday, 35 hours/week

  • Location: Winnipeg, Manitoba

  • Contract Length: 2 months (Start: December 1, 2025 – End: January 30, 2026)
