HR Assistant
Job Title: HR Assistant (Recruitment & Talent Acquisition)
Location: Remote (with offices in Toronto, Montreal, and Ottawa)
Type: Part-time (approx. 2 days/week), 6-month contract with potential for extension
Altis Recruitment is supporting the search for an HR Assistant for our client in the consulting and infrastructure space. Our ideal candidate is passionate about building strong teams and supporting career growth. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to support recruitment and talent acquisition efforts. This is a fantastic opportunity for a recent graduate to gain hands-on HR experience and kick-start their career.
About the Role
Reporting to our HR Director, the HR Assistant will play an integral role in supporting recruitment and administrative functions. The role is part-time (2 days per week) for an initial 6-month contract, with the possibility of extension.
Start Date: Ideally before September 16th for training and onboarding, though flexibility is available.
Key Responsibilities
Review CVs and applications for open positions
Conduct initial screening calls with candidates
Coordinate meetings and interviews with hiring teams
Assist with drafting and posting job descriptions
Provide general HR and administrative support as required
Candidate Profile
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (or in progress)
0–1 years of relevant experience (co-op or internship experience welcomed)
Interest in recruitment and talent acquisition, with strong organizational and communication skills
Previous recruitment experience is an asset
Exposure to consulting or infrastructure (transport/energy) is an advantage but not required
Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset but not required
Self-motivated, eager to learn, and adaptable in a fast-paced, growing environment
