Microsoft Dynamics F&O X++ Developer

JOB PURPOSE

We are looking for a highly skilled and hands-on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O) Developer with advanced proficiency in X++, strong grasp of UDE (Universal Developer Experience), and a proven track record implementing and customizing key F&O modules. This role plays a critical part in delivering robust ERP enhancements and integrations within a high-impact healthcare environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, develop, and deploy customizations using X++ and Dynamics 365 F&O development tools (UDE, Visual Studio, DevOps).

• Build and extend data entities, custom forms, SSRS reports, batch jobs, and workflow extensions across Finance, SCM, HR, and related modules.

• Integrate F&O with third-party and internal applications using Azure Logic Apps, Function Apps, Power Automate, and Service Bus.

• Troubleshoot and optimize T-SQL queries and related database logic to ensure reliable data flow and performance.

• Collaborate with business analysts and ERP architects to translate business requirements into scalable F&O technical solutions.

• Own the full development lifecycle: sprint planning, development, testing, deployment, and post-release support.

• Participate in performance monitoring, system tuning, and quality assurance practices across environments.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

• Minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience in X++ development within Dynamics AX / D365 Finance & Operations.

• Strong experience with UDE (Universal Developer Experience) in Dynamics 365 F&O.

• Proven history building and customizing F&O modules (Finance, SCM, HR, etc.).

• Demonstrated ability to explain technical concepts clearly during stakeholder or peer interactions.

Technical Skills

• Advanced X++ coding experience, including form customization, class extensions, event handlers, and security roles.

• Proficiency with Data Entities, SSRS, Workflows, Batch Jobs, and D365 LCS deployment processes.

• Experience integrating D365 F&O using:

  • Azure Logic Apps, Function Apps, Power Automate

  • REST APIs and Microsoft-native connectors

• Confident in T-SQL, writing/debugging queries and understanding SQL performance bottlenecks.

• Version control and CI/CD with Azure DevOps, Git, YAML pipelines.

PREFERRED / NICE TO HAVE

• Experience migrating from AX 2012 to D365 F&O.

• Familiarity with Lasernet, Power BI, or dual-write scenarios.

• Microsoft Certifications in D365 F&O Development.
