Senior Financial Planning Analyst
Our client, a leading healthcare organization, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Planning Analyst (SFPA) – Case Costing professional to provide expert financial insights and analytical support. In this role, you will lead case costing initiatives and ensure the accuracy of statistical reporting to support key business decisions. Collaborating with finance professionals, clinical leaders, and senior management, you will play a vital role in maintaining data integrity, optimizing cost models, and delivering actionable financial intelligence.
This full-time, permanent role is in Toronto with a hybrid schedule (2 days on-site) and comes with excellent benefits. It presents an opportunity to be part of a dynamic and expanding industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the costing framework, including maintaining cost models, conducting reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with provincial reporting requirements.
- Provide consultative support to senior leadership by analyzing financial trends, patient utilization metrics, and performance indicators.
- Lead the preparation and submission of case costing data to external regulatory bodies, ensuring alignment with evolving reporting standards.
- Act as a strategic partner, collaborating with Finance, Business Intelligence, and Decision Support teams to enhance data accuracy and integrity across various systems.
- Perform detailed financial analysis, including “what-if” scenarios, cost-benefit studies, and operational efficiency evaluations.
- Monitor changes in financial reporting guidelines and industry regulations, proactively implementing necessary adjustments to internal processes and systems.
- Drive special projects, compliance reporting, and ad hoc analyses to support ongoing business improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- Experience in case costing, financial planning, or healthcare analytics is an asset
- Strong ability to interpret and apply financial reporting standards, including OHRS, MIS Guidelines, and other regulatory frameworks.
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis tools.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into meaningful insights.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a consultative, facilitative role with clinical programs is essential, as are well developed interpersonal and communication skills (verbal/written), sound judgment, discretion, tact, and courtesy.
