Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled HRIS Specialist to join our client's team. This role will focus on ensuring the smooth configuration, maintenance, and optimization of their modules, with a focus on payroll processes and compliance. As part of the HRIS team, you will work closely with both IT and HR, providing technical expertise and end-user support for HR systems across Canada.

Locations: Stellarton, NS | Calgary, AB | Mississauga, ON | Montreal, QC

- Hybrid work model: 3 days in office, 2 days from home 
- 12 month contract, assisting with a project 

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Oversee the configuration, testing, and maintenance of systems to ensure effective payroll processing and regulatory compliance.
  • Act as a key expert on payroll-related systems, guiding on current practices, policies, and emerging industry requirements.
  • Collaborate with IT to analyze system issues and develop appropriate solutions, including preparing technical specifications for system enhancements.
  • Serve as a bridge between HR and IT, ensuring effective communication and smooth implementation of system updates.
  • Diagnose and resolve payroll issues, ensuring proper integration with connected systems.
  • Assist with system enhancements and new releases, offering user support and creating training materials when necessary.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree with at least 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong knowledge of HR systems, particularly in SAP, SuccessFactors, or Ceridian Dayforce, as well as an understanding of Canadian payroll procedures.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a focus on Excel.
