Job Description
Our leading real estate client is seeking a Senior Property Manager for their retail property in Ottawa. Reporting to the Director of Property Management, this role is responsible for overseeing tenant relations, day-to-day operations, as well as financial performance.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular site inspections, addressing deficiencies and identifying improvement opportunities.
- Implement strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, boost revenue, and improve property aesthetics.
- Support redevelopment projects and coordinate landlord/tenant work, ensuring compliance with codes and specifications.
- Collaborate with the leasing team to support leasing efforts.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, owners, tenants, and contractors.
- Oversee tenant issue resolution, customer service programs, and move-in/out procedures.
- Prepare and manage annual budgets, monthly reports, and property financials, ensuring cash flow optimization.
- Manage maintenance, repairs, service contracts, and approved capital expenditures.
- Review financial documentation, tenant insurance compliance, and assist with realty tax appeals.
- Provide mentorship, set clear goals, monitor progress, and foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture through regular feedback and development opportunities.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in property management; retail property management experience is an asset.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and advanced computer skills.
- RPA or CPM designation is an asset.
