Job Description

Altis Recruitment is seeking a Manager, Emergency Preparedness for our client in the Aviation industry. The manager will be responsible for Emergency Response Training Program, and all related emergency management activities. This role includes developing, conducting, and evaluating emergency preparedness exercises, training internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. The SME will act as the chief instructor for all emergency management training and will lead the coordination of emergency responses, contingency planning, and business continuity initiatives.

 

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Manage the Emergency Response Training Program.
  • Develop and update emergency procedures manuals, policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and checklists.
  • Develop courseware, arrange learning materials, and manage the logistics of training sessions.
  • Conduct training needs assessments, gap analyses, and develop training curricula.
  • Lead and coordinate emergency responses to aircraft incidents, debriefing sessions post-exercises and emergencies.
  • Evaluate emergency responses, prepare After Action Reports, and follow up on action items.
  • Manage the Emergency Coordination Centre  operations and maintenance.
  • Perform quality assurance and quality control initiatives to ensure effective emergency and irregular response procedures.
  • Maintain an inventory of emergency management supplies and a library of developed exercises and training materials.

 

Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum of five years’ experience in emergency management, disaster planning, or operational emergency preparedness.
  • Expertise in emergency management, business continuity planning, and conducting emergency preparedness/security exercises.
  • Knowledge of training and development tools and techniques.
  • Ability to interpret and apply relevant regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Proficiency in MS Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and data management software (e.g., SharePoint).
  • Excellent communication and writing skills in English.

 

Education

  • A college diploma or university degree in emergency management, disaster management, public safety, public administration, business administration, or a related field.

 

Nice-to-Haves
